Power supply disrupted in Roing

ROING, SEP 10:

Roing Township is facing power supply from Monday evening onwards due to technical fault in 132 KV transmission tower line in between Daporijo and Aalo.

According to Hibu Bama, Executive Engineer, Transmission under whose charge the transmission in between Daporijo and Aalo lies informed that the patrolling party of the department is still to detect the fault.

Due to adverse weather conditions, the patrolling party is unable to detect the fault , he informed to Roing Electrical Department executive engineer, Allen Yirang telephonically, while ruling out the possibility of restoration of power transmission line today.

Meanwhile, officer of Power Grid Corporation Ltd informed that the transmission section in-between Daporijo to Aalo is under the state government. 132 KV transmission line from Pasighat to Roing, Roing to Tezu and from Tezu to Namsai is under Power Grid. If there is fault in between these lines, PGCL is responsible , said the officer.

132 KV Transmission Line through which Roing receives its power generated at NEEPCO s Ranganadi Dam. And in this lengthy transmission line, problematic spot in the transmission line lies in between Daporijo and Aalo. In last few months, most power interruptions have arisen from this section, which is under the care and maintenance of state power department. Longest disruption was in last monsoon, when it got disrupted for about one and half months.
