Student police cadet launched

BOLENG, AUG 13:

Pangin MLA Ojing Tasing officially launched the Student Police Cadet (SPC) for Siang district here at Boleng on Tuesday.

The programme organised by Siang district police in collaboration with the district administration was also attended by Deputy Commissioner Rajeev Takuk, SP Kushal Pal Singh, DDSE T Tatak, other officers, teachers and students.

While addressing the gathering, Tasing urged the student cadets to work for the betterment of society and towards protection of environment. He advised them to inculcate discipline and abide by the laws.

Acknowledging the importance of these student cadets in positively shaping young minds, the DC exhorted the cadets to be the flag bearers of society.

SP Siang apprised the gathering about the various aspects of SPC, its objectives and need, government guidelines and status of SPC, the training module and future aspect of SPC etc.

On the occasion, ASI Tama Talom was felicitated with an appreciation letter and cash award for his dedicated efforts in the search operation for the missing AN-32 Aircraft at Payum circle in June.

ID cards were also distributed to all cadets on the occasion. DIPRO
