Naresh Kumar takes charge as CS

ITANAGAR, AUG 13:

Naresh Kumar on Tuesday took charge as the new Chief Secretary (CS) of Arunachal Pradesh here at State Civil Secretariat, Itanagar.

Kumar, a 1987 batch IPS officer of AGMUT cadre, succeeded Satya Gopal, who has been transferred to Government of NCT, Delhi.

Prior to joining Arunachal Pradesh, Kumar was the chairman of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).

Later, the Chief Secretary called on Governor BD Mishra at Raj Bhavan. While welcoming Kumar to the State, Mishra shared the expectations of the people from the highest bureaucratic chair of the chief secretary.

The Governor advised the new Chief Secretary of the important areas which need immediate attention. He expressed his concerns, particularly on the health and education amenities in far-flung areas of the State.
