PASIGHAT, JUL 15:
Due to incessant rain from last several days places like office premises of D Ering Wildlife Sanctuary Division, Pasighat are largely affected as total of eight office quarters of this division are facing inundation from rainwater stagnation which has made movement of residents of these quarters pathetic.
While raising concern over the large scale rainwater stagnation in the office premises, Tasang Taga, DFO D Ering WL Sanctuary said that there has no proper drainage system in and around the offices of Wildlife, Territorial division and CCF office premises which leads to stagnation of rainwater for too long throughout the entire duration of monsoon.
Meanwhile, Taga has appealed MLA Pasighat East, Kaling Moyong to make a provision in draining out the stagnant rainwater by digging drainage toward Post Office as outlet the project Smart City through Pasighat Municipal Council. Taga also said that, office staff residing in those quarters are unable to move properly and are living under miserable condition during monsoon season every year. He suggested for a proper drainage system all along the forest and wildlife offices as large area rainwater stagnation may become a breeding places of deadly mosquitoes of Malaria, Dengue and Japanese Encephalitis.
Seconding DFO Taga, Dy. Range Officer, Orin Perme, whose quarter is largely affected making normal life miserable, said that they are unable to go for bathing and toilet as all the residential premises are under rainwater inundation from last several days.
We are very helpless, when we make passage of rainwater toward south by digging hole in the wall, people in the other of wildlife office premises raises objection. There has no drainage system in the entire stretches of forest and wildlife offices and residential quarters. Under such condition we are susceptible of any kind of epidemic, added Perme sadly.
