MLA cautions against misuse of fund

RAGA, JUN 11:

Newly elected Raga MLA Tarin Dakpe on Tuesday vowed to leave no scope for any anti-social elements who would deter the development activities of Kamle district.

Addressing the HoDs and officials during the coordination meeting in his maiden visit to the district headquarters, Dakpe cautioned against misuse and wastage of government funds. All the infrastructural and other development schemes will hereby be finalized only on priority and sustainability basis. We will also encourage and seek opinions of the people at the grassroot for the finalization , he said.

Reiterating that the education sector in the district needs a complete revamp, the MLA exhorted the teachers to traverse extra mile for the benefit of the student community. The poor performance of the students in the board exams is a big concern, he said.

On health sector, Dakpe said besides effecting infrastructure development, awareness needs to be created among the people. He also assured to look into the posting of allopathic doctors in the district.

DC Kamle Moki Loyi exhorted all the HoDs to work as a team to accelerate development activities in the district.

With government scrapping SADA and SIDF, the development schemes will be bottom up approach on priority basis, ascertained by the local MLA, he said.

He directed all the HoDs to submit list of schemes and projects by Friday for incorporating in the district plan.

HoDs and officers later presented the status reports of the ongoing projects and schemes and also highlighted the infrastructural and manpower gaps for further perusal.

Raising a very important issue of encroachment, DLRSO Mama Dakpe requested the District Administration to make compulsory NOCs from District Administration for any earth cutting in the Raga Township.

The MLA along with HoDs and officials later inspected the project sites for water treatment plant and mini secretariat and the medical complex at Raga.

He also visited Government Higher Secondary School and VKV School and interacted with the students of VKV and Government Higher Secondary School students. DIPRO
