Conrad hopes for landmark NPP victory in Arunachal

GUWAHATI, MAY 15:

National People s Party (NPP) chief and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Tuesday appreciated the party s efforts during the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Arunachal Pradesh and hoped for a landmark victory in the State.

Conrad was addressing a coordination meeting of party leaders and contesting candidates of the State at Guwahati. He directed NPP State unit president Gicho Kabak to reorganize district, state office bearers and frontal heads of the party and assured his full support and cooperation in strengthening the party organization in the State.

Manipur Deputy Chief Minister Joy Kumar Singh, Meghalaya Home Minister James Sangma, contesting MLA candidates and other party leaders were present in the meeting.

NPP has contested in 30 assembly seats and in Arunachal West Parliamentary constituency during this election, the voting of which was held on April 11. Counting of votes will be held on May 23.
