Class V & VIII board exams for private schools

ITANAGAR, MAY 15:

The State Education Department has decided to bring all the private-aided and un-aided recognized private schools under the purview of Arunachal Pradesh State Board Examination of Class V & VIII with effect from academic session 2019-20.

It has also decided to comply with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) assessment re-modelled structure 2017-18, wherein 80 percent of the assessment of Class V & VIII will be done by the Arunachal Pradesh State Board Examination and the remaining 20 percent will comprise of an internal assessment.

Of the 20 percent internal assessment, 10 percent will be for three periodic tests, 5 percent for notebook submission and 5 percent for subject enrichment.

Tapi Gao, Chairman AP State Board Examinations-cum-Director of Elementary Education, GoAP in a statement said that the CBSE base assessment model will have to be followed in every government schools, private-aided and un-aided recognized private schools of the State.
