ITANAGAR, MAR 14:
Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein and state BJP President Tapir Gao flagged off 50 mobile video vans for election campaigning purposes here Thursday at the state guest house.
The campaigning vans will scour through each of the 60 assembly constituencies in the State to reach out to the voters.
Addressing the media, DCM Chowna Mein informed that the vans which are fitted with LCD and other modern technologies will spread the message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Pema Khandu by highlighting various schemes and overall developmental agenda of the party. These messages will spread the wave of the party across the state, Mein said.
BJP Chief Tapir Gao said the party manifesto was in final stage of preparation and would be released shortly.
He also informed that requisite permission to set off the vans was obtained from the Election Department.
Among others, MLAs Mama Natung, Karya Bagang, Kumsi Sidisow, Tapuk Taku, Zingnu Namchoom, Phosum Khimhum, and city BJP President Tarh Soping attended the function.
